Q: How long have you been working at Apollo Pavers and what is your role here?
I have been with Apollo Pavers for almost two years now, I started as one of the companies Project Coordinators and later took on the role of Designer.
Q: What did you major in, and what drew you to the hardscape and landscape construction field?
I graduated in 2012 obtaining my Bachelors of Architecture from Newschool of Architecture & Design. Architecture has many branches within its field, Landscape being one of them, and anything to do with design, form and materials I tend to gravitate to and enjoy working on.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from when coming up with a design for a customer?
Inspiration can certainly be derived from many factors but to me the client is the one that gives me the initial inspiration, with factors such as their personality and lifestyle to name a few. The projects that we develop are mostly residential and require us to work closely with the client to create a space that is functional to their needs, within their budget, and most importantly a place that they can identify with and blends well with their existing environment.
Q: What has been your favorite project you've worked on at Apollo Pavers and why?
Every project we work on is different making it very interesting and exciting! As a ‘design- build’ company I am involved in mostly every aspect of a project and work along not just the customer to derive an outcome, but I work alongside our Project Managers, Installers, and nearby Nurseries to make the perfect outdoor living space. I enjoy seeing the project develop from beginning to end, and receive feedback from our clients once it is complete and they are in love with the work.
Q: What’s aspect of your job do you like the most?
I consider myself to be an energetic individual, and there is definitely no dull moment at the office with all the details and elements we deal with on a regular basis. In a matter of one work day, I can work on a custom BBQ Island, develop a Plant Schedule, and generate an estimate and design for a pool deck. I wear different hats, and I love that about my job because it never gets boring!
Q: What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
One of my favorite things to do is cook, I find it very relaxing and soothing to play around in the kitchen. I like to visit new places and try to find the best tasting burger or chocolate covered something! If I’m not cooking or eating something scrumptious Im spending time with my family friends and adorable dog Sammy!
Q: What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
I would buy a large piece of land somewhere in California and build my dream home.
